What's in the Plans?
An Overview of the Plans, Specifications and Electronic Cutting Files for the Raku Catamarans
Series 01.
GENERAL ARRANGEMENT DRAWINGS
Drawings showing inboard profiles, plan view arrangement and primary sections through the vessel.Typically 5 drawings.

Series 02.
Sails, Rig, Deck Equipment
Rig and sail plan with basic specifications and righting moment calculations. Suitable for sourcing quotes for rig and sails.
Includes standard deck layout and hardware specification.



Series 03.
CONSTRUCTION PLANS
Including plans for hulls, wing deck structure, bulkheads, floors, decks, cabin tops, berths, stiffening beams, tankage, local reinforcement details and joining details.
Typically 25-30 A1 size drawings

Series 04.
RUDDERS, DAGGERBOARDS, CASES
Typically 7 to 8 drawings including full size patterns for the rudder blades.



Series 05.
FOREBEAM, BOWSPAR, CHAINPLATES
Including chainplates hardware installation and reinforcement details for highly loaded areas.
Series 06.
PARTS DEVELOPED - CUT FILES
Includes all definitions of panels that have been developed from the model including offsets for planking thickness and openings for doors and windows. These are laid out so that you can select individual components for CNC as they are required on the job. You can use these patterns to create your own nestings.


Series 07
NESTED CUT FILES
These are the same parts that are in Series 6 but they are nested out on 1.2m x 2.4m sheets so that a complete kit can be produced in one operation. These are typically the files we supply to kit manufacturers such as VDL composites and ATL Composites.


Series 08.
ASSEMBLY BOOK
The build process in drawings, photos and text.
